Roscommon Women’s Network Reuse Event
NCCWN Roscommon Women’s Network were delighted to have hosted the ‘Roscommon Women’s Network Reuse Event’ in Athleague on Friday 22nd October. Demonstrating examples of practical reuse were CycleUp, the Roscommon Women’s Network – RWN Charity Shop, Gail Murray Work Page Revive and Strive, Rummage and 3D Printing by Hristo Bachvarov. It was great to have some very enthusiastic transition year students from Coláiste Mhuire taking part as well as members of public from all walks of life wanting to learn more about reuse.
Éanna Ní Lamhna was on hand to present our wonderful CycleUp group with their QQI Level 6 Training Delivery and Evaluation Certificates before leading an engaging discussion with Michael Ewing, Chairperson of Roscommon Environmental Network on ‘Community Actions and Opportunities’ attended by Roscommon Tidy Towns, Athleague Tidy Towns, Cllr Laurence Fallen , Rosmote GuideUnit, Cllr Kathleen Shanagher, Denis Naughten, Maria Carton Style Advisor and members of the CycleUp group with many excellent contributions from many interested members of the public. Thanks to all who participated in and attended this wonderful community #reusemonth event.
